Our bollard is the only energy-absorbing bollard approved by the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DTI) South Australian Government.
Energy-absorbing bollard can safely decelerate the impact energy of a vehicle weighing up to 1,600 kgs travelling at 60 kph.
DESCRIPTION
The Energy-Absorbing Bollard (formally known as Omni Stop Bollard) is a non-redirected crash attenuator tested under AS/NZS 3845:1999. The EAB was designed for low-speed environments where the operating speed is 60 km/h or less for a 1,600kg vehicle. At the vehicle's point of impact, the EAB's cartridge located at the base of the steel bollard absorbs the impact energy and safely decelerates the vehicle. IAS's patented Energy-Absorbing Bollards (EAB) are designed, developed and manufactured in Australia. It does not only protect pedestrians from an out of control vehicles but also protects the occupants of the errant vehicle.
KEY FEATURES
- Only bollard that meets Australian Crash Barrier Standard AS/NZS 3845:1999 (60km/h)
- Stops vehicles from entering pedestrian areas while not restricting pedestrian access
- Energy Absorbing CARTRIDGE safely decelerates the vehicle and absorbs the energy during a collision to protect vehicle occupant
- Repairable after vehicle impact
